Founded in 1998, RMI is a privately held company in Massachusetts committed to providing value-added professional consulting services. Our dedicated staff of professionals has more than 50 years of collective experience in the assessment and management of chemical and radiological exposures and their associated risks to human health, public welfare, safety, and the environment.
We also provide Peer and Third-Party Review support to Federal, State and Local Government Regulatory Agencies, Professional Journals and Advisory Boards in the fields of Toxicology and Assessment of Chemical and Radiological Exposures
About our staff
RMI's
President and founder, Dr. Woodman, has 35 years of experience in conducting and managing toxicological, pharmacological, and medicinal chemistry programs to assess the risk and control the adverse effects of chemicals and radionuclides on human health and the environment. He has conducted numerous risk assessments under CERCLA/SARA, RCRA, RBCA, FUSRAP, NRC's SDMP and state programs, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, and New Hampshire, using innovative approaches and fate and transport modeling to develop site-specific risk-based cleanup goals for D&D and risk management programs for cost-effective environmental restoration.
Dr. Woodman has been a reviewer for the journals Cancer Research and Biochemical Pharmacology, served on the Small Business Innovative Research Proposal Review Board for NIEHS, the Interagency Testing Committee's (ITC's) Panel for scoring hazardous chemicals under TSCA Section 4, the DOE Peer Review Panel for the "Environmental Research and Development Program," the MCP Superfund Advisory Sub-Committee on Risk Assessment, the Massachusetts License Site Professional Item Writing (Examination) Committee, and is currently serving on the License Site Professional Association's (LSPA) Program Committee, the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Scientific Advisory Board for the Contaminated Soils Conference, and is a reviewer for the journal of Human & Ecological Risk Assessment: An International Journal.
